Researchers have developed a Rh-decorated Cu hydrogenase single-atom alloy catalyst for coupling anodic formaldehyde oxidation with water electrolysis. This approach achieves bipolar hydrogen production and high-value potassium diformate synthesis with exceptional efficiency and stability.

Prof. ZHAO Shenlong from NCNST developed ultrafine high-entropy alloy nanowires as efficient and ultrastable electrocatalysts for direct chlorine electrosynthesis from seawater (> 5,500 h), significantly reducing electricity consumption and feedstock costs.
